Sisley presents its new 2017 Limited Edition of Eau du Soir

Spring is not just the mating season. Indeed, it is also the period during which flourish multiple revisits of the most famous perfumes on the planet. It is true that many brands create limited editions of their most iconic fragrances. In this sense, as if to seduce collectors once again, the Sisley house has chosen to reinterpret its famous Eau du Soir. Its 2017 Limited Edition is more astral than ever and pays tribute to one of the most beautiful rising stars of perfumery of the last century, Hubert d’Ornano, co-founder of the Sisley house.

L’Eau du Soir Limited Edition 2017, a tribute fragrance

L’Eau du Soir Limited Edition 2017 is a perfume that was created to pay tribute to the famous creator of the Sisley house, Hubert d’Ornano. This has made his family brand a world reference in the world of cosmetics. He passed away in September 2015, in Paris, at the age of 89. Just before passing away, this beauty pioneer wrote: “I was lucky to be born under a lucky star”. However, it would seem that this is precisely what inspired the reinterpretation of the Eau du Soir bottle. This was once transparent. From now on, it has swapped its clarity for an entirely black opaque lacquering. The whole is covered by pretty star prints and matched with red circles. The whole is both sober and festive. The name of the perfume is then displayed in gold letters on its front face, echoing the iconic cabochon of this legendary juice. Indeed, since its very first appearance, no one has been able to forget the cap of the Eau du Soir. This one is like a real sculpture. It was also made by the Polish sculptor Bronislaw Krzysytof. The whole forms a sort of face, hair in the wind, made in matte 18-carat gold. L’Eau du Soir Limited Edition 2017 is this time presented in a matching cardboard box on which the Sisley crest is drawn. It was also made by the Polish sculptor Bronislaw Krzysytof. L’Eau du Soir Limited Edition 2017, a daring bottle but an unchanged fragrance

If the aesthetic of this new perfume is surprisingly daring, its fragrance, on the other hand, has remained the same. Moreover, this is very often the case when it comes to limited edition. L’Eau du Soir Limited Edition 2017 therefore respects the fragrance originally designedby perfumer Jeannine Mongin, in collaboration with Isabelle and Hubert d’Ornano. This chypre fragrance reflects the many contrasts that decorate its bottle. It marvelously combines the freshness of an incisive start with the sensuality of a more carnal base. L’Eau du Soir Limited Edition 2017 begins with a fresh, citrusy surge of grapefruit and tangerine. Then, these citrus fruits give way to a more floral heart. The latter nuances its composition by playing on the spicy breath of the carnation. The iris brings here a powdery scent while the jasmine floats an airy and poetic scent on the whole. Finally, L’Eau du Soir gradually gains in animality and ends with a sweet base of amber and musk.
