Narciso Rodriguez’s love for musk and the Middle East
However, it remains very focused on the Middle East and puts the spotlight on a rose as seductive as it is elegant.
Narciso Rodriguez’s love for musk and the Middle East
Since its launch in perfumery, with the perfume For Her, Narciso Rodriguez has devoted a very particular love to musk. If it was initially an animal raw material from the secretion of an Asian buckshot, it is now reproduced in the laboratory. It remains nonetheless very animal and thus gives the perfumes which contain it an extraordinary sensuality. This is how Narciso Rodriguez decided to establish a perfumed collection revolving around this ingredient. Narciso Rodriguez readily confides: “Musk has always fascinated me. He has that same natural sensuality that I try to infuse into an entire creation. If For Her was considered a musky and chypre fragrance, Narciso Rodriguez took this effect to its climax with For Her Musc Collection. The result was then more floral and more amber than for the initial fragrance while being less woody. Also, this sweet and musky juice has once again given way to a new vision of musk: Rose Musk. Her name says a lot about her femininity. With the queen of flowers at the center of its composition, it could only be a concentrate of elegance.
A flower as the central element of the new Rose Musk
As its name suggests , this time it is the rose that is placed at the center of Rose Musk’s composition. The initiated amateurs of perfumery know it, it is about a very famous flower of the Middle East. However, as surprising as it may seem to us Europeans, the rose is a plant very popular with men. Thus, Rose Musk has this double ability to please women while seducing men. Rose Musk is a resolutely oriental essence, also made up of many spices. Thus, this fragrance lets out aromas of cinnamon and cloves associated with those of saffron. The latter only enhances the prestige of this essence. In addition, it is one of the most expensive ingredients in the world, also called “red gold”. For more delicacy, Narciso Rodriguez also added peony to his recipe. This only increases the femininity of her perfume. Nevertheless, its wake gradually darkens and gains in intensity. It ends with a blend of character based on labdanum and patchouli. Everything is of course contained in the famous rectangular bottle by Narciso Rodriguez. However, its recessed interior cube is this time tinted with a prestigious gold-colored lacquer.
