Prada offers an Absolute of perfume to these gentlemen
As if to express the quintessence of its style and its unique elegance , Prada decided to make a duo of perfumes, in 2016, simply named L’Homme and La Femme Prada. Today, these two fragrances are reinventing themselves and appearing in a limited collector’s edition. On the masculine side, this niche fragrance is called L’Homme Absolu. Focus on this oriental and seductive fragrance, placed in a prestigious bottle.
The new bottle of L’Homme Absolu
What immediately jumps out at the sight of this new perfume is above all its bottle. Indeed, this is a limited edition, carefully decorated by the Prada brand. If this bottle takes the silhouette of its predecessor, its decor, on the other hand, changes completely. Its rear surface, forming a half-moon, is covered with Saffiano leather in a completely new pattern. Saffiano leather is an emblematic material of the Prada house. This is a calfskin printed by Prada and particularly resistant. Widely used in luxury, this material is here decorated with a geometric pattern in shades of blue, green and black for men. L’Homme Absolu by Prada comes in a 100 ml bottle. The latter is also covered with a shimmering black front face. The
The oriental breath of the Absolute Man
When it comes to scent, L’Homme Absolu by Prada is not lacking in temperament. This fiery juice displays its impertinence from the start. L’Homme Absolu by Prada sets off on a blend of opposing scents. On the one hand, cardamom, bergamot and mandarin give it an intense and lively freshness. On the other hand, black pepper immediately warms this composition. Then, the heart of L’Homme Absolu becomes an enormous floral bouquet. The iris dominates it very largely, deploying here its powdery elegance and its undeniable refinement. It is accompanied by geranium and neroli for a floral and peppery finish. The masculinity of the Absolute Man, for its part, is expressed more broadly at its base. The base notes of this fragrance contain cedar, amber and labdanum. The result is a seductive and sensual fragrance.
The Absolute Man and The Absolute Woman, two complementary beings
L’Homme Absolu de Prada was designed in opposition to La Femme Prada. These two fragrances are here perfectly complementary. Their duality only better reveals their personalities. Both are of exceptional quality. The masculine tradition is here set against feminine notes. As Miuccia Prada explains: “There is the idea of La Femme Prada and L’Homme Prada, but in reality, they don’t exist. There are many. “. These two juices represent the quintessence of Prada perfumery. Each of them illuminates the world of perfumery with an infinitely chic and very elegant style. They express the designer’s fascination for the fluidity of identities and the differences between two beings.
In 2016, the Prada brand unveiled a most legendary olfactory couple with L’Homme Prada and La Femme Prada. Both refined and ultra elegant, the Prada couple represents the quintessence of Italian refinement. About this couple, the Prada house affirmed “She could be him, he could be her. She is an absolute woman, he is an absolute man. There is not an obvious definition of their relationship. They could be lovers, friends, or even strangers. The two have multiple identities ”… In 2018, Prada presents a variation with the Absolute Man.
Danièla Andrier once again at the heart of Man Prada Absolu
If Danièla Andrier is not the official perfumer of the Prada brand, it is nevertheless she who produces the majority of Prada perfumes. Danièla Andrier was born in Heidelberg, Germany. She will arrive in France at the age of 15. If Danièla Andrier was originally going to study literature, she joined the famous perfume school, ISIPCA after having had a revelation about her career. Danièla Andrier is a very talented perfumer, but also a modest and instinctive woman. When asked what is for her, a “good perfume”, she asserts “One who has a soul and possesses the capacity to lead us back to lost realms, echoed by our own memory. He is in the resonance, does not tell him. Good perfume is emotion ”… We owe Danièla Andrier some great perfumes such as“ Candy Kiss, Les Infusions ”by Prada, but also“ Angélique Noire ”by Guerlain.
The oriental and powerful tones of Homme Absolu Prada
The composition begins with a striking contrast and thus combines bergamot, green mandarin, black pepper and cardamom. The latter is a spice from the Zingiberaceae family, a rhizomatous plant of which only the dried fruits are used. Cardamom was mainly known and used by the ancient Egyptians, then by the Greeks and Romans. They used it as a solid perfume, mixed with wax, but also as toothpaste because cardamom had the power to neutralize the taste of garlic. It will also be used to calm sore throats, coughs and to eliminate intestinal worms. In perfumery, cardamom is very popular, it is used by steam distilling the dried seeds. It gives off camphoric, zesty, resinous tones. Then, the heart of the Absolute Man evolves towards floral tones and we find the iris, the star of the Prada Man. The heart notes therefore combine iris, neroli and geranium. Iris is, along with oud, the most expensive raw material in perfumery. Native to the Far East, iris is mainly produced in Italy, Morocco. The root of the iris is a rhizome and it is the rhizome that is used in perfumery. Its extraction is long and complicated, which explains its price. Catherine de Medici used the iris for powdery purposes, and this tone is very popular with the nose today. Finally, the base of the composition is intense and sensual and harmoniously blends cedar, cistus labdanum and amber, Miuccia Prada’s favorite material.
