Eau de toilette 1902 Fig Tree & Sichuan Berdoues

Eau de toilette 1902 Fig Tree & Sichuan Berdoues

1902 collection: the novelty Figuier & Sichuan

History has been written for over 100 years. Today, Berdoues has decided to pay tribute to its beginnings, by creating a collection called 1902. Initiated a few years ago, this blend of perfumes is enriched by a newcomer named Figuier & amp; Sichuan, described by the sign as a “summer nap”.

The freshly sunny scent of Fig tree & amp; Sichuan

Fig tree & amp; Sichuan is a timeless scent that is very contrasting. On the one hand, it clearly relies on freshness, as if to recall Eaux de Cologne. Indeed, this type of perfume was once widely used by the French. Unconsciously, the Eaux de Cologne thus remained in our collective memory, and push us to appreciate the refreshing fragrances. Yes but here it is, at the time, the Eaux de Cologne were sorely lacking in temperament and tenacity. Today, Berdoues has solved the problem by adding an additional treat. The fig is present and delights us here with its sweet flavor. In a more vegetal spirit, its leaves are also used. The sap of the fig tree seems to be gently heated by the sun, recalling the scent of Mediterranean fields on a beautiful day of summer. Then, for more femininity, Fig tree & amp; Sichuan also contains flowers such as rose or iris. The Sichuan pepper also comes to tickle the whole and give it more ardor and impertinence. At its base, Fig tree & amp; Sichuan is illuminated with white musks.

Berdoues opts for a timeless fragrance

Through this perfume, the Berdoues house pays homage to its origins. Indeed, its story began with the creation of an Eau de Cologne … In 1902, Guillaume Berdoues, then hairdresser and barber, decided to make his own perfume to enhance the toilet of his clients. The amber breath of his composition was immediately a resounding success. This is how the activity of Berdoues was launched. Inspired by the Eaux de Cologne of yesteryear, and by displaying the date 1902 on its label, Berdoues makes a nod to its prestigious past.
The Figuier & amp; Sichuan bottle, meanwhile, is common to the entire 1902 collection. It forms a thick glass cylinder. Its beveled edges blend with a more contemporary chrome cap. To evoke the fig, this transparent bottle lets us glimpse a purple juice. A plum ribbon, more sustained, decorates the center of this bottle. Finally, the set is presented to us in a cardboard box, decorated with multiple drawings, representing figs and leaves, in shades of purple, white and gray. The whole of this visual is totally timeless. No one can really give it an age, any more than the scent inside.
