The tropical aspect of Eau d’Ivoire
After unveiling its Ivory fragrance in 2012, Balmain made Eau d’Ivoire, barely a year later. This fragrance is inspired by a trip by Olivier Rousteing, artistic director of Balmain. It plunges us into a very summery atmosphere and combines simplicity with exoticism. Pack your bags, Balmain takes you across the ocean and brings a burst of sunshine to your daily life!
The tropical aspect of Eau d’Ivoire
While Ivory is considered to be one of Balmain’s most famous perfumes, Olivier Rousteing decided to revisit it while he was traveling in Miami. Thus, he created in him all the warmth of the beaches of South Beach. So it’s a bit as if Ivoire had suddenly switched to daylight saving time. Nevertheless, he has not forgotten his origins. It remains faithful to the mythical juice of 1982 created by Pierre Balmain himself as well as to its 2012 revisit, modernized by Olivier Rousteing. Everything perfectly embodies the image we have of the Balmain woman, both sober and elegant while knowing how to be daring. Eau d’Ivoire is a juice that likes to stand out despite its lightness. This is’ a charismatic and elegant scent bringing the thrill of Miami Beach to the crook of your neck. If Pierre Balmain said of the first version of this perfume: “This is the name I gave to a dream”, Olivier Rousteing has instead decided to give it the name of his last journey.
Balmain Sun Concentrate < / h2>
Eau d’Ivoire is an indomitable and sensual fragrance, paying homage to the beauty of women as well as to the Florida sun. It begins with a bright and tangy glow made from orange essence. However, as Balmain women are always very elegant, the brand has added a hint of violet leaves to this ingredient for a more powdery and vegetal look. Then, the scent of Eau d’Ivoire continues with a more floral and romantic heart. This contains jasmine and rose, a sort of carnal concentrate lifting the veil on the sensuality of Balmain femininity. A note of pepper nevertheless tickles the whole with its spicy impertinence. Finally, Eau d’Ivoire is gradually evolving towards more woody and dark tones. It ends with an alliance of vetiver, cedar and patchouli. The whole is then further sublimated with a suave and warm touch of vanilla. On the aesthetic side, everything is contained in a bottle similar to that of its predecessor. Square in shape, it has traded in its former scabbard for the benefit of transparent purity. Everything is designed in a cut glass with clean and modern lines. Eau d’Ivoire is then topped with a stopper resting on an ivory-colored ring. This only enhances the color of its nude juice on which is affixed an elegant label. The aesthetic of this juice is thus absolutely faithful to the elegant sobriety of the Balmain brand. this one has traded in its former scabbard for the benefit of transparent purity.
