The perfume L’Eau Armoise Serge Lutens
Serge Lutens doesn’t care what to say and tries above all to have fun. That is why he decided to work in total autonomy and to create his own odor laboratory. After working for the biggest luxury brands, he finally decided to found his own brand, to unleash his overflowing imagination. Thus, year after year, Serge Lutens never ceases to surprise us. Once again, the year 2019 promises to be rich in emotions. Serge Lutens has just announced the release of a new Eau de Politées, this time called L’Eau d’Armoise.
Focus on the Eaux de Polroits collection
Very often, at Serge Lutens, new creations integrate already existing fragrant collections. Thus, L’Eau d’Armoise is no exception to the rule and counts among the Waters of Politeness. This olfactory assortment was created a few years ago and already includes six different scents: Eau d’Armoise, White Sandalwood, Lemon Blossoms, Light Gray, Cold Water and Eau de Paille. All are presented to us in a common bottle, a sort of robust cube of glass, sculpted like a jewel, and surmounted by a crystal swirl. The message could not be clearer: the Waters of Politeness are infinitely luxurious essences! Each of them highlights a very specific ingredient and the smell can be common. What is more, the Eaux de Politidad do not stop there and also advocate the enhancement of purity. Everything fell into place when Serge Lutens pronounced these words in 2010: “Luxury begins with cleanliness”. Inspired by this sentence, he decided to design an assortment of perfumes, each more airy and fresh than the next, as if free of the superfluous and their heady side. Polite Waters allow you to smell good naturally, without ever overdoing it. However, with their unexpected ingredients, they nonetheless raise questions … Polite Waters allow you to smell good naturally, without ever overdoing it. Eau d’Armoise, an aromatic ingredient as a central element
Even if Serge Lutens does not usually reveal his recipes to us, you will have no trouble believing that this perfume is mainly based on mugwort … Thus, L’Eau d’Armoise is an aromatic essence that is intended for both men and women. The very particular scent of this plant is here placed in the foreground. Mugwort is also enhanced by other ingredients located further back. The result is a herbaceous and slightly bitter essence, the scent of which almost reminds that of thuja. L’Eau d’Armoise can be alternately wise or fiery, as suggested by the quote provided by Serge Lutens and attached to this perfume: “To arise or to disappear, each thing in its time”.
