B. Balenciaga Balenciaga Eau de Parfum

All the soul of the Balenciaga brand in a perfume

This was the very first juice produced by the artistic director of Balenciaga himself. Its creator then confided: “It is a really fascinating project for me because it is the first time that I work on a perfume. It was important to capture the woman, the essence, the personality of B. Balenciaga ”.

All the soul of the Balenciaga brand in a perfume

B. Balenciaga was born from the imagination of Alexander Wang. He was appointed artistic director of the Balenciaga house in December 2012 and very quickly succeeded in imposing his style. Indeed, this very creative character always takes care to go to the essential via noble materials. Her clothes display a simple but very effective charm, often harmonizing white and black colors with a few pastel shades. Thus, Balenciaga’s couture would almost resemble a kind of nude makeup if it was a question of make-up. Also, it is precisely this style that we find in the perfume B. Balenciaga. It can thus be characterized by three fundamental adjectives: “sophistication, sensuality and femininity”. B. Balenciaga paints us the portrait of a simple but elegant woman. She has a femininity full of contrasts and always tries to reveal her character while retaining a part of mystery. Moreover, this is undoubtedly where the power of its attraction lies. The B. Balenciaga woman has a very assertive personality. Confident and in love with freedom, she lives her sensuality with emotion and refinement.

The contrasting flavor of B. Balenciaga

Like the personality of the Balenciaga woman, the B. Balenciaga fragrance is made up of multiple contrasts. Also, it was the perfumer Domitille Bertier who was challenged to create this first perfume. It begins with a vegetal freshness based on an unusual ingredient: edamame. These are kinds of small soy beans of Japanese origin. The latter bring here an unparalleled crunch. They are then associated with the airy delicacy of lily of the valley. Then, the small white bells of this typical plant of May give way to iris roots, one of the noblest ingredients in perfumery, releasing here woody, floral and powdery aromas. What’s more, the tenacity of this ingredient is once again enhanced by more muted vibrations of cedarwood. Cashmere wood, in turn, warms this ensemble, while combining with ambrette seeds for a more musky and mineral finish. The B. Balenciaga bottle, meanwhile, is faithful to the aesthetic of the brand. It is halfway between classic and modern. It comes in a frosted glass with a cracked texture. In addition, the idea here was to evoke the marble of the original Balenciaga salon located at 10, avenue George-V, in Paris.
