Dior Homme Christian Dior Eau de Toilette

Dior Homme Christian Dior Eau de Toilette

A new Dior Homme even more virile and sensual

His first male fragrance, meanwhile, was launched a little later, in 1966. Since then, Christian Dior collects successes and continues to capsize men’s hearts. In 2005, he thus imagined the perfume Dior Homme , a virile and elegant juice, conceived as an olfactory interpretation of his dressing for men. Today, after numerous reinterpretations of its scent, it is being transformed again, for our greatest pleasure, and becomes Dior Homme Eau de Toilette.

The return of the elegant Dior bottle

Let’s start first with the bottle of this perfume, which in itself conveys all the elegance of the brand to which it belongs. Dior Homme Eau de Toilette is presented to us in a glass bottle, with an appearance very similar to that of its predecessors. This transparent block is both design and refined, which gives it a very modern style. However, this bottle also plays on paradoxes. On the one hand, it relies on absolute transparency. On the other, he slides a black steel tube in its amber juice. Likewise, an opaque black block appears in the center of its translucent bottle. It is also on him that the name of this perfume is inscribed. In reality, all the elements of this bottle echo a part of its scent. The transparency of its glass recalls its freshness. The amber color of its juice emphasizes that it is a warm fragrance. The black color, meanwhile, displays exceptional masculinity.

Dior Homme Eau de Toilette, the contrasting fragrance of a tender and virile man

Dior Homme Eau de Toilette is a rich and subtle fragrance , which dares the alliance of several contrary ingredients. First, it begins with a very fresh and spicy aroma of cardamom. Its lively flight gives the wearer a crazy energy! Then, the iris deploys its powdery breath in its heart. This is the central element of the Dior collection, a noble flower present in all the fragrances of the Dior Homme range. Finally, warm woods take over. Dior Homme Eau de Toilette combines the warmth of Atlas cedar with the natural charisma of patchouli and the more earthy facet of Haitian vetiver.
Through all these contrasts, François Demachy, exclusive Dior perfumer, believes that “This new Dior Homme has an obvious virile signature. This does not prevent it from developing tender, sensual accents. It ultimately amounts to portraying a modern man ”. For him, if it were to symbolize a male garment, it would undoubtedly be a “suit with current and sharp chic”.

In 2020, the Dior house decides to reinvent one of its most famous perfumes: the iconic male essence Dior Homme becomes this time an Eau de Toilette! Moreover, do not believe that this is a simple small metamorphosis, transforming some details of its original recipe. In reality, Dior opts for a complete reformulation of its fragrance. Indeed, Dior Homme Eau de Toilette had already been designed in 2011. This time, it is a completely different version of its scent, once again produced by the perfumer François Demachy, the exclusive brand nose. So what are the ingredients for its new originality? Dior abandons the floral and powdery side for a fragrance that is now much more woody.

Dior Homme Eau de Toilette offers a very incisive and spicy start

< p> Although he is a particularly refined being, the man who wears Dior Homme Eau de Toilette does not lack temperament, and this is noticeable from the top notes of this perfume. This fragrance begins with a very refreshing and peppery blend. Dior Homme Eau de Toilette first contains bergamot, a fruit obtained from the cross between sour orange and lemon. It is therefore a very lively and incisive composition. However, to counterbalance its initial freshness, Dior Homme Eau de Toilette also contains pink pepper, a much warmer and spicier element. Elemi, in turn, completes its top notes. Not lacking in originality, this element is a resin from the Philippines, at once lemony, aromatic and peppery.

Woods occupy the heart of Dior Homme Eau de Toilette

If woody notes are often present in the base of perfumes, they are much less so in their heart. However, the Dior house has decided to invite them into the center of this fragrance. Dior Homme Eau de Toilette lets all its masculinity express itself in a duo of cedar and patchouli. These elements come to structure this perfume and give it absolute persistence. Thus, its elegance and refinement never deteriorate over the hours. To soften the whole, cashmere wood has however been added to this mixture, immediately giving a feeling of comfort to this juice.

When the vetiver lights up with white musks

Finally, still in a very masculine register, Dior Homme Eau de Toilette ends with vetiver. Harvested in Haiti, this wood has a very identifiable scent and different from others. It shows itself slightly earthy, green and smoky. Many consider that it gives off an odor similar to that of the undergrowth. Here, the vetiver is illuminated with white musks. Rich in multiple reliefs, this perfume gives off a plural trail, while revealing itself as smooth and masculine. Dior Homme Eau de Toilette is far removed from the clichés of masculinity. In this sense, he is an undisputed symbol of modern virility.
