The fragrance of Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming
Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming, an ode to sensuality
The Dior house was founded in 1947 by Christian Dior. Today, the Dior house represents French luxury around the world. Her style infuses the revival of the post-war period, but also feminine novelty, freedom of manners. His “New Look” style will revolutionize fashion. The first brand fragrance came out the same year, “Miss Dior”. If this fragrance reflects the know-how of the brand, it is above all a tribute to the couturier’s sister, Catherine. In 2016, Christian Dior presented a variation of its first fragrance “Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming”.
Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming, a lover of life
The story of “Miss Dior” begins in 1947. Christian Dior wanted to dedicate his first perfume to his sister, Catherine, with whom he shared his childhood. Because Christian Dior is a flower lover, “Miss Dior” is therefore naturally inspired by the scents that emanated from their house in Granville. In 2005, the Dior brand nevertheless decided to modernize its first fragrance, while keeping the same name, but in a more radiant, more spontaneous way. In 2012, the Dior house revisited “Miss Dior” in a more chypre, sensual and more floral eau de parfum. In 2014, the revisit takes place with a haute couture dress sewn entirely of flowers, the perfume inevitably had to be called “Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet”. With “Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming”, it is the Grasse rose that is in the spotlight, Christian Dior’s favorite flower. In fact, Catherine cultivated perfume roses with her brother in Callian (Department of Var). Then in 1951, Christian Dior bought the castle of “La colle Noire”, and installed there a garden of a thousand scents, in particular with the May rose. Today, these roses are replanted in this garden, in homage to the couturier. It is therefore these roses, renamed “Les roses de Grasse”, that François Demanchy decided to use to imagine “Miss Dior, Absolutely Blooming”.
Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming: La rose de Grasse, a noble flower
It is therefore a true tribute to the Dior family which is expressed through “Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming”. It is François Demachy, the exclusive perfumer-creator of the Dior house, that has the onerous task of developing a fragrance that is as modern as it is floral. “Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming” begins with a blend of sweet and striking red fruits, such as raspberry, pomegranate or blackcurrant. The heart of “Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming” is filled with the femininity of the Grasse rose, and the Damascena rose. Peonies are then added, releasing ultra sensual scents. These flowers engage in a trail of white musks, offering the ultimate touch of feminine seduction. As for the bottle, it is very much inspired by these predecessors. Shaped like an imposing glass cube, it displays a look that is both sober and sophisticated. Its dazzling transparency lets a pink juice burst, a touch of extreme femininity.
Regarding “Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming”, François Demachy affirms “Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming is offered to you immediately, it is a delightful gift that we immediately sixteen”.
