Ingredients
- 1 cup butter (softened)
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 large egg yolks
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 cups flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup raspberry or strawberry jam (Christmas-coded)
- Optional: powdered sugar for dusting
Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F
- Cream butter + sugar
- Add yolks + vanilla
- Mix in flour + salt
- Refrigerate dough 30 min
- Roll into 1-inch balls
- Place on parchment-lined sheet
- Press thumb in center (deep well)
- Fill with jam (about 1/2 teaspoon each)
- Bake 12-15 minutes
- Cool; dust with powdered sugar
